Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to support digital transformation within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this position the selected candidate will provide services for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT), Infrastructure Operations (IO), VA Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) Integrated Project Team (IPT). IPT is responsible for developing the master transition plan for all required activities related to its execution. Infrastructure Operations has a requirement to migrate hardware, operating systems, applications, and other elements of its IT infrastructure from Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) to IPv6.

Primary Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Manager responsibilities will include supervisory tasks such as training quality assurance staff and overseeing the daily workflow and schedules of the team. I addition, the selected candidate will develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery. This Senior Associate level, full-time position is a remote opportunity; occasional travel will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or field related to the products being developed required.
  • 8 years related experience required
  • Testing and sampling products, ensuring they meet set standards and specifications
  • Experience developing quality control policies and standards
  • Ability to training staff members on the quality control processes and policies
  • Experience overseeing quality control processes, and a team of QA specialists
  • Experience establishing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability in the organization, as well as put out higher quality goods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. · Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.


Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.
  • Proven expertise in strategic communications, public relations, public affairs, research, writing and editing.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts, juggle assignments and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to deliver clear, compelling communications, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Capable self-starter with a drive to get all types of work done and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent ability to communicate across most mediums and settings.
  • Knowledge of military and Veteran populations.
