Serves as the end-to-end (from space sensors to delivery of data products) system architect for NESDIS. 2. Defines, analyzes and allocates level 0/1 requirements for assessment and implementation by the organizational divisions. 3. Performs validation of 0/1 level requirements, through the architecture and organizational divisions accountable for meeting the allocated mission-level requirements. 4. Supports the budget strategy and formulation process and the definition of acquisition programs to meet NESDIS mission objectives. 5. Leads technical evaluation of major systems acquisition programs. 6. Develops and maintains Program/Project and Systems policy to enable successful execution of the mission-level requirements by the different elements. 7. Defines and manages Enterprise level configuration control of the end-to-end system architecture. 8. Leads studies to support near term architecture level issues, conducts enterprise level sensitivity and reliability analyses, and performs trades and technology assessments to support long term planning and strategic direction and technology investments. 9. Professional/Technical Core Qualifications (PTQs): HR SPECIALIST ENTERS IN PTQs PTQ 1 - In-depth technical knowledge of, and experience in, the fields of physical science or systems science in order to develop and procure remote sensing satellites, their instrumentation, data acquisition, and processing systems. PTQ 2 - Demonstrated leadership in the systematic approach to requirements, architecture planning, strategic planning, and systems engineering of major acquisition systems.
