DescriptionDEFENDERS OF WILDLIFEPOSITION DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Administrator, Human ResourcesCLASSIFICATION: Professional 1SALARY: $53,000 - $59,000 FLSA: ExemptDEPARTMENT: Human ResourcesLOCATION: Headquarters: Washington, DCREPORTS TO: Vice President of HRNUMBER OF DIRECT/INDIRECT REPORTS: 0LAST REVISED: September 2022POSITION SUMMARYThe Human Resources Administrator carries out responsibilities in the areas of new employee orientation, employee offboarding, transportation and commuter benefit administration, full cycle recruitment, benefits and Leave administration, policy implementation, performance management administration, HRIS maintenance, coordinating meeting schedules and general HR administrative duties with the HR team as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEmployee onboarding and offboarding, which includes managing orientation schedules, processing employee information, and scheduling exit interviews.Manage all transportation and commuter benefits and communication, being the primary point of contact for transit related questions. Coordinate employee events, to include health fairs, flu vaccine clinics, employee appreciation events, open enrollment meeting(s)Coordinate HR teams schedules and schedule meetings as needed. Maintain HR and DEIJ pages of the intranet, ensuring forms and information are up-to-date and relevant.Maintain the HR Inbox and forward requests to HR staff as needed. Reconcile and process HR invoices.Maintain all HR tracking ie, COVID-19 Vaccine, Telework agreements.Assist with contract compliance. Ensure contracts are up to date and payments are timely.Full cycle recruiting and recruiting administration, to include working with hiring managers to develop staffing plans and administer intake meetings for entry-level positions, create and maintain job postings while ensuring maximum visibility, coordinate interview schedules; screen, track, and manage entry-level positions from requisition through job offer stage; process background checks as needed.Benefits and Leave Administration: assist with administration of benefits (health benefits, workers' compensation, COBRA); and leave programs.Assist in conducting benefits orientations.Employee information management: HRIS maintenance and data accuracy; reviewing all benefits enrollment, change, and termination actions and routing the appropriate payroll-related information to Finance.Assist with the administration of the employee performance appraisal program and all salary increase processes as needed.In collaboration with the Vice President of HR, proactively identify and implement HR systems and process improvements.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, which includes annual EEOC, OSHA, ACA reporting.Perform all other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree or equivalentExperience: 1 year of relevant human resources and recruitment experienceAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities for All Defendershttps://defenders.org/knowledge-skills-and-abilities Knowledge, Skills, Abilities for Professional 1 Administrative1.
