Job Description SummaryThe Human Resources Business Partner will maintain and enhance Sporting Kansas City's people operations by planning, implementing, and evaluating policies, programs, and practices to enhance the SKC associate experience. We encourage all talented individuals looking for a challenge to apply.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDevelop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all Sporting Kansas City associates.Plan, organize and contribute to all activities associated with human resources, including, but not limited to, Workday system management, human capital management, payroll, associate relations, performance reviews and business processes.Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements.Assist recruitment efforts in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Team for all positions. This may include actively sourcing talent and interviewing.Conduct new hire orientations, monitoring the career path program, associate relations counseling, and exit interviews.Implement and annually update compensation programs by conducting annual compensation review, as well as monitoring and revising the performance evaluation plan.Responsible for associate onboarding, development, needs assessment and training coordination.Maintain the Associate Handbook.Establish and maintain human resources records and reports, company organizational charts and associate directories.Determine and recommend associate relations practices necessary to establish and maintain a positive employer-associate relationship.File EEO-1 annually, as well as maintain records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO-1 regulations.Conduct investigations regarding complaints or concerns, documenting and recommending necessary course of action.Lead and participate in administrative staff meetings and seminars.Always represent Sporting Kansas City and its related affiliates in a professional manner.Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.Perform other related tasks as assigned.Match Day ResponsibilitiesMeet with game day Team Leads, as necessary.Be available to assist and support game day associates prior to each match.Personal AttributesStrong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills.Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.Strong leadership and motivational skills, as well as excellent public speaking skills.Exceptional time-management.Ability to organize, coordinate and direct activities.Practice a high level of confidentiality.Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with Executives, Team Leads and other associates.Strong attention to detail.Skills and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business or other related field required.Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the Human Resources field.Prior experience with associate relations, compensation, and investigations.Knowledge of all Federal, Missouri and Kansas employment laws and regulations.PHR or SHRM Certification preferred.Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
