As a Fire Protection Engineer working with our Built Environments team, you'll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects. You'll assist in the design of Water Spray/Sprinkler systems, Fire Pump/Water Storage Tanks, Fire & Gas Detection systems, and Fire Alarm/Mass Notification systems while also helping develop the plans for the overall building safety.You'll be a part of diverse multi-discipline teams allowing you to both share what you know and learn so you can grow. By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.#biaffederalBachelor's Degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical or Chemical EngineeringExperience in design engineering of suppression system (wet-pipe, dry-pipe, preaction, deluge, foam, clean agent), fire alarm/mass notification system, smoke control system, fire pumps, water storage tanksExperience with life safety requirements, building code analysis, passive fire protection systemsWorking knowledge of relevant NFPA standards including but not limited to NFPA 1, 13, 20, 70, 72, 75, 76, and 90A, and 101Working knowledge of relevant ICC standards, including but not limited to IBC, IEBC, and IFCWorking knowledge of relevant DoD standards, including but not limited to UFC 3-600-01 and UFC 4-021-01.Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation, and Revit/Revit MEPUnited States CitizenshipProfessional Engineering (PE) license having passed the fire protection engineering written examinationNICET certification or other relevant accreditation
