Develop new products through PTC Creo Parametric.How will you do itCreate the designs for engineering changes for the existing products to correct and improve safety and quality issues for the following sections such as Cabinet Section such as base rails, floors, walls, corner posts, doors, and roofs through FEA's. Supply Fan Section (Supply Fan selection and VFD's selection). Handle refrigeration sections such as Condenser, compressor, VFD's, evaporator and piping selections. Manage economizer Section such as Economizer, Dampers, ERW, Return and Exhaust Fans selections. Improve the Electrical design, taking a new approach for wires and cables and a new arrangement for the electrical critical components. Develop and improve Super BOM/ EOM's. Create engineering changes in SAP for new product development and existing products. Create BOMs, new manufacturing parts and new purchase items through SAP System and Engineering Page. Participate in the creation of PDP Deliverables (DFMEA.) Manage new sheet metal, piping and harness designs validation. Support Prototype builds and prototype parts requests such as assembly of the units, fabrication of sheet metal parts, and copper piping and harnesses. Support production assembly lines and fabrication areas to reduce time waste and improve/maintain productivity. Estimate product sub-assemblies' cost through SAP System, Cost Models and Manufacturing Assembly Processes with the purpose of comparing different design options. Monitor cost targets throughout PDP phases and identify improvements. Create competitive benchmarking and teardowns both internally and externally to understand the competitor's product and process cost. Support supplier negotiations and communication with internal/external suppliers. Create the patent.What we look forThis position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus 4 years of work experience in design and project experience with heating, ventilating, or air conditioning equipment. Additionally, the applicant must have work experience with:1. Manufacturing MRP systems including SAP and MAPICS;2. Product cost estimation for product development using the Monte Carlo method and tools;3. Using multiple Parametric Solid Modelling SW Packages, including CREO, AutoDesk Inventor, and SolidWorks;4. Implementing both Lean and Six Sigma processes as they pertain to manufacturing environments and design environments;5.
