Description Chief Financial Officer (nonprofit)Base to $250,000 My client is a DC Metro based $30 million nonprofit that is both a 501c3 and 501c6, has operations in the US and Asia and been in business for almost 20 years. They are looking to hire a CPA Chief Financial Officer to oversee the overall financial operations and accounting practices of the organization, acting as a strategic partner with the CEO, develop financial plans for growth, delivery of strategic plan outcomes. Responsibilities include:. Oversee preparation of the annual financial statements (internal and external) in accordance with GAAP.. Monthly analysis of internal financial statements, revenue and expense trends, cash flow analysis and financial projections.. Prepare the annual budget ensuring that all programs and services are appropriately accounted for.. Complete budgets for finance/accounting function, payroll and related expense.. Direct all aspects of accounting operations (GL, receivables, payables, payroll & financial reporting).. Oversee investment of funds and works with the board to ensure appropriate cash flow.. Oversee the independent auditors ensuring all audit issues are resolved.* Continually improve internal control policies and procedures.. Ensure proper filing of 990 and other IRS documents..
