The incumbent serves as a technical analyst expert, providing technical services and support of the regulatory provisions and controls for the US mariner credentialing program (MCP).Being a CG civilian makes you a valuable member of the CG team. Typical work assignments include:Serving as liaison between MCP system users and C5I (or equivalent) system technicians, facilitating communication and interpreting requirements from field users to system programmers. Interpreting and reviewing established policies to assist customers in formulations of functional requirements. Evaluating existing policy and procedures to ensure functional, technological, and operational adequacy across the MCP. Proposing and coordinating efforts to develop new system capabilities in collaboration with users and programming staff. Advising management on the viability of proposed system functional development and/or enhancements. Preparing and presenting a wide variety of ad-hoc data extracts from MCP databases; performing statistical analysis to assist decision-makers.
