The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking a highly motivated, mission-driven leader to serve as Executive Director of the Patrick Henry Family YMCA. The Patrick Henry Family YMCA plays a dynamic role in the greater Richmond community, with involvement in wellness, community impact and youth development. The Executive Director will ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices, and procedures. They will be a forward-thinking collaborator and change agent who is passionate about the YMCA and a proven successful track record of inspiring a multicultural mindset to develop programs and services that embraces a diverse community. The Branch Executive Director oversees the operation of the branch and guides volunteer and staff development, philanthropy and collaboration with community stakeholders. This position is responsible for meeting key metrics, driving membership and ensuring the quality of program delivery. The branch has a 2022 annual budget of over $2 million, with a fundraising goal of over $175k. DUTIESThe Executive Director will oversee and implement strategic growth and planning for the Patrick Henry Family YMCA. The Executive Director will focus on continuing to develop strong community relationships and collaborations further expanding the Ys reach into the Ashland community and will foster a climate of innovation to develop member-focused programs which support the Y mission, goals and strategies. The Executive Director provides leadership to staff, volunteers, members, and fundraising to fulfill the mission of the YMCA with consistent demonstration of the YMCA's values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and empathetic leadership. The position involves a high level of governance and vision as well as community visibility. The Executive Director will play an active role in leading and participating in community events and programs supporting the Y.QUALIFICATIONSRequired qualifications include a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership experience, including staff development, fundraising, community relationships, and board and volunteer engagement. The most qualified candidates will have experience in philanthropy and cultivating volunteers, as well as previous experience managing within the nonprofit environment. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leading staff, and experience managing a budget. Previous YMCA experience is preferred but not essential.
