Ballast works with clients across the private, public, and social sector to create in-depth quantitative and qualitative research, benchmarking, and other diagnostic tools that enhance strategic planning.The RoleBallast is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to help us achieve our growth and talent acquisition needs. The TA Manager will be responsible for sourcing qualified candidates, applying advanced interviewing techniques, and coordinating across several hiring processes. The manager will also provide HR support, including initiatives to improve and maintain a strong team experience and culture and the onboarding and offboarding of staff. We are looking for a highly adaptable and analytical candidate with strong attention to detail and cross-team communication skills to join our growing team.ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition (80%)Partner with Director of Human Resources to formulate and execute a recruiting strategy to meet Ballast's growth and diversity goalsCoordinate Ballast's interviewing and hiring processes, source qualified candidates via LinkedIn and other job sites, databases, networking etc., select and present qualified candidates to hiring teamsHelp hiring teams interview candidates through various methods (eg structured interviews, behavioral interviews)Support employee and manager growth, and establish best practices through trainings, and educationHelp establish connections with professional groups, communities, and other organizationsChampion Ballast's employer brand and create excellent candidate experiencesBuild hiring materials and write job descriptions, ads, and social media Develop a deep understanding of the business to successfully execute complex sourcing strategiesMaintain accurate records utilizing Ballast's applicant tracking system, and perform analysis related to hiring and employment trendsStaffing and People Experience (20%)Partner with the Director of HR to hire and onboard exceptional talent to Ballast in a thoughtful, coordinated way that aligns with team needs and Ballast's valuesFacilitate the onboarding and offboarding processes, provide guidance and training on Ballast's operational and employment-related policies and proceduresAssist in the planning and execution of team-wide initiatives to deepen and further Ballast's commitment to offering an inclusive, equitable, and best-in-class corporate cultureQualifications:Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of talent acquisition and HR support experienceProven success as a recruiter, including hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on recruiting, hiring, and diversity-related metrics and goalsFamiliarity with recruiting and HRIS software (eg Applicant Tracking Systems) Knowledge of effective hiring practices (eg social media recruiting)Excellent communication and decision-making skillsOutstanding organizational skillsProfessional services, research, or government affairs industry hiring experience is a plusOur CultureBallast has a collaborative and collegial culture.
