JOB TITLE: Market Development Manager, Remote DEPARTMENT: Sales, Marketing & Product Management COUNTRY: United States of America STATE/PROVINCE: Arkansas CITY: Lowell FULL/PART TIME: Full time JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the position is responsible for developing and securing contacts with executive level buyers to help sell Dedicated Contract Services (DCS). The incumbent works closely with the sales team to determine the sales strategy and approach for a given customer, and helps to execute that strategy and approach KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop business opportunities with executives at prospective DCS customers through lead generation efforts by interacting through telephone, email communications, marketing efforts, etc. Evaluate prospective business opportunities using a prescribed customer qualification process. Schedule introductory meetings with prospective executive-level customers and Business Development Executives, by successfully communicating our transportation service offerings. Maintain a pipeline of prospective executive-level customer contacts and sales leads for assigned Business Development Executives; actively maintain the pipeline using the company sales contact database. Meet or exceed sales quota standards set forth by management (eg, contacts per week, meetings per month). Work with Market Research Analysts in region to plan and deliver marketing efforts in a given region. Network within the building to know who the right contacts/relationship owners to strategize and collaborate on a specific opportunity. Travel with Business Development Executive to assist in sales proposals, sales kick-offs, trade shows, customer region and other customer quarterly business review meetings. SALARY RANGE: $55,000-$80,000 plus ability to earn commission MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or 3-4 years experience in sales, marketing, or similar. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience Experience in a sales position Proficient active listening skills Self-motivated Proficient time-management skills Ability to multitask Experience working in transportation Ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market Experience in selling an organization's products and services Ability to develop sales plans that are future-oriented, support business strategy and reflect understanding of emerging, as well as existing, opportunities and markets.
