Summary As Quality Engineer, you will be given the unique opportunity to create a new legacy at our newly built, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility as a Manufacturing Engineer in Landisville, PA (20 minutes NW from downtown Lancaster). Your role as Quality Engineer will involve providing problem solving leadership and directing cross-functional teams toward corrective action resolution. You will also be tasked with leading and implementing continuous improvement plans and monitoring key measurement data for trend analysis and for uncovering areas for improvement. Landisville, PA - #1 in Best Place to Buy a House in Lancaster County (Niche.com) About Landisville, PA (via BestPlaces.net) Landisville, PA Overview (via Data USA) What You'll Be Doing Embracing role as Quality SME within the Product Launch team Creating inspection and process control requirements and operator instructions Supporting quality management with internal containment activities Monitoring problem solving activities for internal and external issues, implementing countermeasures, and following up with formatted reports Analyze engineering and customer specifications and monitor operational processes to develop quality control methods, practices, and process documents Resolve daily issues related to quality assurance activities Conducting team meetings and presenting technical information to internal and external customers regarding defect reduction efforts Implementing product quality and system requirements and ensuring they are completed Tracking and reporting monthly KPI's and providing training to colleagues Developing and maintaining professional, collaborative, and productive working relationships Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering field 2+ years of quality management systems (QMS) experience, specifically ISO9001 Familiarity with lean manufacturing and how it relates to quality improvement Proficiency with creating and updating quality documentation including control plans, flow charts, PPAP, and 8D Project management experience and knowledge of Microsoft Project Exposure to data collection and data analysis Strong grasp of quality system tools and standards What Makes You Stand Out American Society for Quality CQE certificate Experience with utilizing Microsoft Office applications Eagerness to learn, understand, and apply new technologies Track record of managing multiple priorities and projects and meeting deadlines History of prioritizing and executing tasks within high-pressure environments About The Shyft Group The Shyft Group (NASDAQ: SHYF) is North America's leader in specialty vehicle manufacturing, assembly and upfit for the commercial, retail and service specialty vehicle markets.
