Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Staff Accountant II who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Staff Accountant II you will:

• Maintains and controls the accounting records for assigned entities.
• Monitors financial activity captured in the general ledger to ensure the accuracy of reported balances.
• Completes the monthly closing process for assigned entities in accordance with AHC's monthly closing schedule.
• Responsible for the compilation and issuance of a standard set of deliverables in conjunction with the monthly accounting close process.
• Assumes responsibility for internal and external reporting of financial results for assigned entities.
• Responds to customer inquiries with timely and insightful knowledge of operations and accounting activities.
• Provides support for the conduct of AHC's annual audit process.
• Actively participates in the annual budget process on an as needed basis.
• Responsible for ad hoc reporting, including revenue/expense analyses and pro-forma analyses, as needed.
• Demonstrates actions and attitudes that contribute to the achievement of AHC's critical success factors (e.g., best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, a growing organization vital to the community and valued as a faith-based organization).

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance
• Prior experience in the maintenance of a variety of financial records is required
• Exhibits strong knowledge and understanding of foundational accounting concepts
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions and handle a multi task environment
• Strong customer service, interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and communication skills
• Strong stewardship of confidential data
• Must have good judgment
