Description: Job Title: Lead, System Engineer - Telecom Job Code: SAS20221 - 2Job Location: Palm Bay, FL or Chantilly, VA Job Decsription:As a Lead, Systems Engineer - Telecom you will lead and contribute to architecting, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting embedded security applications. Evaluate development and COTS products and services to identify security vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and improvement using tools, techniques, and processes that emulate those used by sophisticated and motivated adversaries. Knowledge and expertise of network protocols, stacks, major COTS components and associated hardware architectures. Experience across broad range of telecommunications transport technologies (OTN, Carrier Ethernet, WDM, etc.). You will work with creative, innovative, and collaborative team of hardware and software engineers to analyze and develop offensive and defensive cyber capabilities. Essential Functions:The candidate should be able to perform the following tasks with minimal oversight:Develop embedded security architecture and designs based on system level requirements.Analyze operating system concepts in the areas of memory management, computer architecture, or binary analysis.Analyze and deconstruct applied cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and implementations.Analyze network protocol implementation, vulnerabilities, and concepts.Knowledge of IPv4, IPv6, QoS, Multicast, MPLS, IP Routing Protocols like ISIS, OSPF, BGP, L3VPN, L2VPN, Traffic Engineering using BGP and MPLS-TE.Knowledge and experience with major router platforms.Knowledge and experience with modern router architecture including interworking of control plane and forwarding plane, switch fabric, egress queuing.Experience Optical Transport Technologies - WDM, ROADM, and teract with senior program managers and customers to define embedded security approaches and strategies.Lead trade studies to identify the most economical solution to satisfy requirements.Develop embedded security system integration and check out plans.Develop internal requirements, CONOPs and interface control documents from customer / product requirements.Support full program development lifecycles including concept, design fabrication, production, test, installation, operations, maintenance, and disposal.Provide technical leadership to development teams at internal and external gate reviews such as technical baseline reviews and design reviews.Qualifications:Current TS/SCI Security Clearance or above level Security Clearance; US Citizenship requiredBachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 9+ years of relevant operational experience ORGraduate Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline with 7+ years of relevant operational experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineeringDemonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering Systems Integration of subsystems and multi-segment systems Understanding of hardware components including electrical equipment, digital processing hardware (ASIC, CPLD, FPGA), circuit boards, microprocessor systems, computer system architectures and interfaces.Solid technical foundation and proven experience working with development engineering teams as well as direct customer interaction.Cryptographic algorithm design and reviewOperating system fundamentals and secure configurationSecurity of virtualization platforms and techniquesNetwork protocol analysis and debuggingWeb protocols and API securitySecure development practicesSoftware vulnerability assessment, fuzzing, and code analysisReverse engineeringExploit development Please be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
