Position OverviewArlo is in search of a Contract Specialist to join the "A"A' team to support our Corporate Headquarters office. This individual will manage a variety of federal contracts, subcontracts, and vendors in accordance with company procedures, applicable laws, and government requirements to support the overall operations of the organization. The Contracts Specialist is responsible for a wide variety of procurement and contracting duties including drafting contracts, task orders, work requests and modifications; preparing bidding documents and conducting bidding processes; ensuring all legal, insurance and bonding requirements are met prior to contract execution; preparing reports; recording documents; maintaining the contract log and electronic filing system; and working with project managers to administer active contracts. The Contracts Specialist works independently on assigned contracting tasks with general guidance from the Contracts Director. Work LocationRemoteJob Responsibilities and/or Success FactorsManage contracts through all lifecycle stages (draft, revision, approval, filing, and distribution) through Costpoint.Monitors and executes all contract administration and procurement actions.Responsible for pre-award and post-award functions.Create/Maintain Contract file folders, prepare solicitation documentation, and review proposals for compliance and contract modifications.Develop acquisition plans and procurement milestone schedules.Prepare procurement packages, including preparation and review of requirements documentation (eg, Statements of Work (SOWs), Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Statement of Need (SON), Performance Work Statement (PWS)), market research documentation, independent government cost estimates (IGCEs), draft evaluation factors, applicable pre-award determinations and findings, and applicable pre-award clearances and reviews.Works with different contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Plus and hybrids), modifies contracts and exercises options, terminates and closes out contracts.Administration of active contracts (government and government partnership) to ensure completion and compliance with all deliverables in collaboration with project managers and responsible parties. Provide on-going assistance to staff on contract compliance issues.Administer organization records management policies and procedures to maintain complete, orderly, accurate, and accessible electronic working files and archives. Manage and evaluate records for retention in compliance with approved policies. Works closely with the billing department to review and prepare contractual invoices using in CostPoint.Prepares and maintains a Compliance Calendar of contractual reporting due dates, including contract option year renewals, registrations, SBA reviews, etc.Maintains, documents and improves current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.Strong clients focus and commitment to continuous improvement, ability to proactively network and establish relationships.Manage multiple priorities in a high-paced and fast-changing environment.Perform special contract related requested and other duties as assigned or required. Education and Minimum QualificationsMust be a US CitizenMust have at least an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 3-6 years of experience in a government contracting environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products.Skilled in legal compliance, negotiation, and relationship management.Demonstrated skill in government procurement and contracting for formal and informal bidding processes and proven experience in all phases of the contract's lifecycle.Superior time management, organization, and prioritization skills.Excellent attention to detail.Highly DesiredBachelor's DegreeExperienced in using Deltek CostPoint to set up contractual billing agreements.
