General Summary: Centrus Energy Corp. seeks a Staff Accountant to join the team at our Corporate Headquarters, under a hybrid work schedule. The Staff Accountant will participate in a variety of accounting duties, including customer invoicing, the monthly closing process, prepare supporting schedules for the internal/external audits and update of SOX documentation. The Staff Accountant will utilize Oracle Fusion Cloud, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word in performance of their duties. Essential Functions of the Job: Prepare invoices for customers for both the LEU segment and the Technical Solutions segment. Prepare journal entries and reconciliations to support the monthly closing process. Utilize various Oracle Fusion modules, to process transactions, analyze account activity, prepare journal entries and generate supporting reports. Participate in the testing of quarterly Oracle Fusion upgrades and system enhancements. Support external/internal audit and tax department requests, including the preparation of requested financial statements schedules. Assist in the development of desk procedures for areas of responsibility. Participate in the SOX program through review and update of process documentation and controls. Perform work in compliance with the Company's internal controls and documentation requirements required to meet the standards required under an integrated financial statement audit. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum: Degree in Accounting Minimum of 2 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment, including the preparation of journal entries and the generation of reports Prior experience with medium to large financial and accounting reporting systems Detail oriented with strong documentation skills Strong verbal and written communications skills Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred: CPA or active candidate Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud software Knowledge of SOX and/or internal controls Ability to meet closing and reporting deadlines of a publicly traded company Combination of corporate and public accounting experience Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects effectively In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
