Duties

  • You will apply analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of new and improved information systems to meet the business requirements of customers.
  • You will brief senior leaders on problematic trends and patterns (e.g., technology maturity, availability, costs, risks) in information technology (IT) programs.
  • You will review IT programs to assess overall compliance with IT plans and policies and alignment with business and operational requirements.
  • You will provides modifications to IT plans and policies to respond to changes in business requirements and processes or changes in legislation or regulatory requirements.
  • You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) position in specialty area 75, and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program Requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties:
1) Demonstrates experience in analyzing, installing, configuring, enhancing and/or maintaining the components of an enterprise network and/or systems;
2) Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, project management, and governance skills;
3) Possesses analysis, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills while work with a variety of departments and shareholders who may have different goals for a project;
4) Manages or assists in the management of Information Technology(IT); and
5) Leads or participates in projects related to infrastructure operating and maintenance plans for Information Assurance (IA) and IT, through evaluation of system design, condition, constraints, future requirements, etc.
