Position Description: Serco, Inc is growing and is looking for Top Talent to join their General Ledger team. This role will be a key member of the General Ledger Organization and will interface with other corporate departments (Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounts Payable, HR, Payroll, Billing, Accounting Systems, Compliance and Reporting) and operational finance teams. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment with a positive and energetic attitude this is a great opportunity for you!In this role you may be responsible for tasks such as, but not limited to:Journal entry preparationBank account reconciliationsFixed asset Sub-ledger tracking and analysisAccount reconciliation preparationMonth-end close responsibilities for multiple entitiesAccount analysisTrend AnalysisCost allocationsFinancial statement analysisSpecial projects as assigned Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent 7+ years of industry specific experience. Proficiency in MS Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.Requires broad understanding of responsibilities and functions of the general ledger function. Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, be organized, and have the ability to multitask and follow-up on outstanding items. Understands the functional impact of the flow of transactions. Requires the ability to follow stated policies and procedures. Must have good customer service skills. Must be able to able to work independently and be successful in a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Works under general supervision; reporting to the Director, Accounting.Additional desired experience and skills:Government contracting experience preferred.
