Network Administrator / Jr Network EngineerFort Belvoir , VA MUST :Active DoD Secret Clearance5+ yrs of overall IT experience2+ years of network engineering/administration experience in professional settingExperience with Remedy ticketing systemsStrong experience working on WAN LAN and VPN networksExcellent communication skills both written and verbalStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a teamIAT II certification : Security+ce or higherCurrent IAT level III certification highly desiredOne of the following certs must be acquired within 100 days of start CCNA, CCNP, VCP, MCSA, MCSE or CompTIA Cloud EssentialsBachelors degree in relevant field or additional years of experience DUTIES :Support a variety of network engineering and administrative needs focused on the design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting onsite networkUses Remedy ticket submissions for work assignments responding to critical and VIP tickets within two (2) hours of notification by telephone or e-mail by appropriate Government authorityInterprets and implements Senior Network Engineers guidance in support of Network operations executing activities such as, installation of new modified hardware, operating systems and software applicationsEnsure compliance with Information Assurance (IA) security integrity requirements for the enclaveSuccessfully completing equipment installations, movements, additions and changes, such as accomplishing these actions to maintain the clients network infrastructure including hubs, routers, switches, concentrators, firewalls, virtual private networks (VPN)Supporting NIPRNET Internet and web access, establishing communication links capable of providing required bandwidth to support effective and efficient connectivity and digital communications between government facilitiesProviding Network Engineering support such as, analyzing the network architecture based on metrics available from the Governments network management tools to identify modifications required to maintain optimum efficiency Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
