The Counselor Education and Supervision program at the University of Arkansas is inviting applications for TWO open positions for Assistant Professor of Counselor Education and Supervision , starting in Fall 2023. This is a 9-month, tenure-track position. The duties and responsibilities of this tenure-track Assistant Professor of Counselor Education and Supervision position include: teaching graduate courses in the CACREP-accredited counselor education and supervision program; conducting research that results in refereed publications and professional presentations; pursuing external funding through grant proposal submissions; supervising counselors in training; directing students' independent research projects, theses, and dissertations; advising graduate students and chairing/serving on doctoral advisory and dissertation committees; participating in public service and professional organizations; and engaging in service activities at the program, department, college, and university levels. Minimum Qualifications An earned doctorate from a nationally recognized and accredited institution in Counselor Education conferred by the start of employment Demonstrated commitment to an active research agenda as evidenced by publications, presentations, and funding activity Commitment to diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism, and/or social justice Eligibility for Arkansas state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Doctoral-level preparation in clinical supervision Strong interest in and a professional commitment to the preparation of clinical mental health counselors, rehabilitation counselors, and counselor educators Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and collegiality Preferred Qualifications Counseling experience in a clinical mental health, rehabilitation, or an educational setting Commitment to diversity, multiculturalism, and/or social justice Eligible for the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) credential Experience submitting and/or securing grant funds University of Arkansas The University of Arkansas campus is located in Fayetteville, a welcoming community ranked as one of the best places to live in the US .
