The Digital Product Manager, Data & Audience gathers market intelligence to shape future advertising products, identifies target audience and analyzes their characteristics, behavior and media habits to decide how to best communicate with them. Monitors advertising campaign delivery and resources (e.g., budget estimates, preparing and negotiating advertising and sales contracts, etc.) from beginning to end and optimizing as needed. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyze forecast models and tools to monitor advertising product demands and changes to the competitive pricing environment.


  • Design, develop, operationalize, and analyze digital advertising products to support media sales.
  • Enhance and support the development of AARP's unique digital advertising sales proposition.
  • Identify, design, and implement processes and procedures that optimize digital advertising revenue and performance.
  • Research, identify and recommend industry best practices and vendors and discover new or enhanced ways to use existing technology that can increase revenue potential and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain advertising quality controls to ensure adherence to AARP advertising policies and ad specifications.
  • Assess, design and report metrics critical in tracking digital advertising performance overall.
  • Participate in realizing prioritized strategic initiatives from leadership/management by collaborating with internal groups, taking ownership of special projects, and identifying needs required to deliver and operationalize digital ad implementations.


  • 5+ years of experience with Data Management Platforms creating and managing the development and operationalizing of first-party audiences.
  • 5+ experience with the application of audience targeting in either a buy or sell environment (DFP/GAM or DV360, etc).
  • Previous experience and management of digital ad pixel utilization/tag managers in accordance with internal policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research on, make recommendations and manage audience management ad technology.
  • Demonstrated experience managing data dictionaries, taxonomy/naming conventions.
  • Knowledge of SQL,Google BigQuery, LiveRamp's ConnectUI, or Safe Haven a preferred.
  • In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise.

Flexible Work Arrangement (FWA)

AARP observes Mondays and Fridays as telecommuting workdays, except for essential functions. Remote work and telecommuting can only be done within the United States and its territories.
