HUMAN RESOURCES AND TRAINING COORDINATOR:

We are seeking a full-time Human Resources and Training Coordinator to oversee all aspects of HR and Training over multiple states. This position is not-remote and requires traveling between Washington DC and Southern Nevada a minimum of once a month for a duration of 5-7 days.  [Travel expenses: hotel, airfare and meal stipend is included in benefits packet]

 

Overview of Duties:

 

1. Work with one recruiter to strategize recruiting efforts for all locations and programs to fill all vacancies and have a surplus of on-call staff.

 

2. Facilitate the pre-employment onboarding process by building trust and a professional relationship with all new hires. This position is the initial face of the organization, and you must be personable, outgoing and highly detail orientated.

 

3. Collect all employment documentation and submit applicants for background screening. Maintain employee database and always ensure 100% compliance with required document collection.

 

4. Coordinate the New Employee Orientation (NEO) process by scheduling new employees, coordinating with trainers and managers across multiple programs on facilitating their parts of the training, grading competency exams, ordering supplies and food for NEO and maintain the training database. Always ensuring 100% compliance with required training at onboarding and annually thereafter.

 

5. Train staff on employee handbook and coordinate 20 hours of professional development seminars annually for the entire agency.

 

6. Provide conflict resolution and counseling resources for staff as well as bring creative ideas and initiatives to boost employee morale.

 

Requirements:

 

1. MUST have a bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field. MS degree preferred.

 

2. MUST be able to travel without restrictions for 7 days at time to Southern Nevada.

 

3. Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

 

4. Strong written and verbal communication

 

5. Strong technical skills and be a fast learner.

 

*This position requires the trainer to step in and train for any department in case of an emergency. Meaning the trainer will need to learn and know all the material from setting up computers and emails for new staff or understanding human rights and exploitation.

 

This is a fast-paced position with a lot support from executive management. However, a perfect leader in the role will take ownership of the departments, bring energy to the department and be extremely organized.
