Senior Systems Administrator
Summary: The Senior System Administrator will provide primary and backup server system administration and information assurance support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide systems administration support for Windows operating system and applications and backup support for VMWare virtual environments.
Install, configure, maintain and provide troubleshooting support for all operating systems, applications and hardware assigned.
Support planning and implementation for all new and existing systems solutions.
Maintain system compliance by ensuring all approved IAVAs, SPs, and patches are installed and configured. This includes maintaining Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) compliance and reporting.
Perform systems backups and recovery procedures. Document all systems requirements associated with Disaster Recovery in the systems support documentation.
Create and update related server/application documentation including; Trusted Recovery Documentation (TRD), Method of Procedures (MOP), user guides and other related training material.
Maintain Windows virtual templates for server deployments.
Follow all NEC policies, procedures, applicable regulations, and Functional Area processes.
Maintain currency in technology and service offerings.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in related field; 6 years directly relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education; combined total of 12 years for education and experience.
Possess Baseline and Full Computing Environment Certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002.
Desired OS/Application experience: Windows Server 2012/16, VMWare vSphere 6.x, Inteum, Solidworks, Minitab, AutoCAD, IBM Doors, IMB SPSS, GTX Raster, MATLAB, Siemens, FusionLive.
Desired MCSA and VCA certifications.
Must have NACLC with Tier 3 investigation
