Job Summary

Aptive is seeking a Program Manager to manage a large project portfolio for the Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) Office of Connected Care (OCC). These efforts will support integrated services and solutions in support of Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) connected care technologies.

The candidate must have strong writing, communication and organizational skills to support a VHA client and manage multiple team members across many projects. Candidate must thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment and communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary setting.

This is a contingent hire position. This full-time position is currently fully remote. However, they may be expected to travel to Washington, D.C. or other locations in the United States for meetings, events and trainings.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at multiple locations.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for any matter related to Contractor performance.
  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities.
  • Has the authority and responsibility to identify and commit Contractor resources required to support each effort.
  • Establishes and alters (as necessary) corporate management structure to direct effective contract support activities.
  • Crafts and enforces a quality control program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of related program management experience.
  • VA experience required.
  • Master's degree in related field, but may accept years of experience and a Bachelor's in lieu of a Master's.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or Certified Associate in Project Management preferred.
  • Has demonstrated experience with Government contract oversight and successfully managing a large-scale
    program, encompassing multiple projects, of a similar scale, scope, and complexity. Such experience shall include planning, initiating, managing, executing, and closing out programs in support of an agency's mission.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or master's degree in related field.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Excellent ability to communicate (written and verbally) across most mediums and settings.
  • Experience preparing and managing integrated project initiatives, performing major decision making, solution development, analysis and evaluation and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to manage, lead and motivate a team of professional staff.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation communications skills.
  • Experience with business process and system improvement projects and efforts.
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams managing multiple projects with complex deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
