Here, you will help lead our industry forward and make your career.Job DescriptionAs a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to the team responsible for applying mathematical models, advanced tools or techniques (such as SAS, Python, and R), and financial industry knowledge to business or financial data, including model results.Your efforts will enable the team to analyze or report on business performance, solve business questions, or inform business decisions. Work may include developing models or prototypes to achieve these goals, but is not the core focus in the role.THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKEResponsibilitiesThe SF CFO - Financial Engineering - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilitiesCoordinate and manage activities related to inquiries from regulators, model risk management, audit and other model governance stakeholders.Assist modelers across the full lifecycle of model issue remediation: issue rationalization and response, project planning, model development, documentation, and stakeholder communication.Interpret and implement model governance standards and procedures. Engage with model governance community to propose enhancements to model governance standards.Produce and maintain model documentation in accordance with model management standards and procedures including but not limited to: model whitepapers, process documents, system context diagrams, model development plans, etc.Promote best-in-class model operations and change management procedures.Enhance model performance tracking metrics while automating analytical processes and report generation.QualificationsTHE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAMMinimum Required Experiences4 yearsDesired ExperiencesBachelor degree or equivalentDesired Experiences, Skills, And ToolsStrong quantitative and analytical skillsPrior experience working with financial and data modelsExperience analyzing large datasets to identify insightful trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data Experience with SAS, Python, R, SQL or other similar language in an analytics role is required; knowledge of multiple languages preferredAbility to analyze business trends and effectively communicate results to various internal stakeholdersStrong oral and written communicator, with ability to summarize complex issues and situations concisely and clearlyStrong interest in finance and financial modelingAdditional InformationIn response to COVID-19, Fannie Mae has adapted our workplace and hiring processes to better safeguard our employees, candidates, and new hires.
