Duties and Responsibilities: As an Appian Developer, you will be part of an Agile development team with a passion for supporting an Enterprise Level Application. * Focus on business logic and process flows, working on the design and development of business logic, process models/flows and UI screens to implement in a BPM (Business Process Management)-based system. * Work closely with Business Analyst to investigate customers' requirements, prototype business solutions, and validate user story acceptance criteria. * Coordinate closely with team members to ensure proper fixes, unit testing, and configuration management. * Develop Structured Query Language(SQL), update data models and implement common database best practices(indexes, triggers, and data structure). * Manage daily work in the Atlassian suite of applications (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo). * Coordinate with DevOps team members to ensure timely and reliable releases to customer. * Ensure software maintains data integrity, security, and best practice standards. * Prepares and maintains SDLC application documentation as needed. Required Qualifications: * 2+ years experience in BPM (Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activity, Oracle or IBM BPM, Pega, etc.). * 3-5 years experience in software development, including: Java or JavaScript programming(general and component-based UI). * Understanding and hands-on experience with Agile software development methodologies. * Experience with Agile tracking software(Jira or Rally) * Highly adaptable to rapidly changing environments and situations. * Flexible and willing to accept change in priorities. * Strong desire to learn customer business processes. * Strong analytical, communication skills. * Strong technical development background * Strong desire to learn customer business processes. * Strong analytical, communication skills. * Excellent written and oral communication. * Highly adaptable to rapidly changing environments and situations. * Effectively prioritizes work and has well-honed problem-solving skills. * Self-starter with strong self-management skills. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Customer service oriented. * Ability to attain Federal Government Position of Trust. * Must be a US citizen, foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States or resident alien. * Must pass a background investigation Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field. * Experience in BPM (Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activity, Oracle or IBM BPM, Pega, etc.). * Experience with Appian software, implementation and ability to translate software requirements specifications into Appian applications and prototype. * Using one or more Appian add-on tools, such as Expression Unit Tests, Deployment Automation Manager, FitNesse test creation, SAIL UI and Smart Services * Database, UI, XML and XSLT experience. * Knowledge of GIT and DevOps tooling. * Experience with Jira and Confluence tools. * JavaScript programming (general and component-based UI). * Debug and work with log files. * Contracting Experience This role requires the selected candidate to maintain DoD 8570 IASAE II certification. Candidate must have one of the following certifications: (CASP+ CE, CISSP (associate) or CSSLP) at the time of hire or will need to obtain within 6 months of start date. The applicable certification must be maintained throughout performance of the contract. Those selected candidate(s) who are not currently DoD 8570 IASAE II compliant (ie, that do not have one of the applicable certifications) will be provided CSSLP training by the Company. **Please note that as a federal contracting company expected to fall under the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force (Task Force Guidance), Synergy requires that all new employees be fully vaccinated (two weeks after final dose) against COVID-19 before their start date.** Synergy is an equal opportunity employer.
