Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance100% onsite - In Germantown, MDThe Systems Engineer develops and executes adaptable technology plans that drive achievement of business results. Broad base of experience required including technology strategy development, SAN administration, data center operations, database management. Responsibilities include:Serve as Systems team member - support unclassified & classified IT systems, may include project planning, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenanceCollaborate with support contractors, government civilians, and members of the US military to integrate, troubleshoot, and document global enterprise IT systemsProvide Tier II and Tier III support services to maintain, manage, upgrade, and optimize infrastructure hardware and softwareResponsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of virtual and physical servers in NNSA data centersSupport O&M of Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Windows desktop imaging and deployment, and virtualization technologies including servers, virtual desktops, applications, storage, and network from VMware, CitrixSupport implementation of O365 and Microsoft Azure and migration from legacy environmentSupport wide variety of end user applications and assist application support teams in implementation and troubleshooting activities.Perform security STIG implementation on servers, Active Directory User / Group ManagementPerform Group Policy Management, Application Migration & Updates, OS UpdatesConduct account audits, access rights audits, and activity audits.Collaborate with the other Server, SAN, Network, and Application teams, determine the presence of a problem, identify possible solutions, select the most appropriate solution, and implement that solution in a timely manner in accordance with Change Control Process.Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures.Maintain system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, system hardware, installation, firmware patching, and VMware software patching.Required Skills7+ years relevant experience in IT Operations environment5+ years of experience directing system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications for an unclassified environment3+ years of VMware ESXi/vSphere/ vCenter experience. VDI Instant Clone management experience preferred.2+ years supporting classified systemsAn in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Environments (Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016). With an emphasis on Compliance Management through Group PolicyExpertise configuring Exchange and Active DirectoryExperience with Linux (RHEL) administrationExperience utilizing VBScript and/or PowerShell to automate systems management, deployment, and implementation functionsExperience maintaining and troubleshooting Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, XenMobile, NetScaler, etc.Experience with blade and standalone servers from Dell, HP, Cisco, etc.VDI profile management solutionsProficiency with systems protocols such as TCP/IP, AD, DHCP, DNS, DFS, 2FA, Group Policy, ADFS, Azure AD and ADFS, etc.Experience Administering Active Directory Users/Groups, Group Policy, File Share Permissions, NTFS PermissionsExperience Administering MS SQL Servers a plusExperience with Security Compliance and Tenable Security Center scan reports.Experience with Monthly patching cycles. SCCM/LAN Desk experience preferredExperience with performance monitoring tools like WhatsUp Gold and SolarWindsUnderstanding of cloud infrastructure and SaaS/PaaS (Azure, O365, ServiceNow)Thorough knowledge of IP networking, Switches, Routers, and FirewallsExcellent communication and documentation skill.CertificationsMicrosoft, Linux (RHEL), and/or VMware Certified"IntePros Federal is an equal opportunity employer.
