Job Description As a valued contributor to our team, you will design, produce, test, or implement software, technology, or processes across multiple projects, programs, or products, as well as create and maintain IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The Performance Engineering Advisor (SRE) role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care, so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: Determine the needs of the customer groups across multiple projects, programs, or products while identifying and resolving conflicting or complementary needs across customer groups. Design and develop software solutions to meet needs and may also lead matrixed teams. Apply extensive expertise in process-driven approach in designing solutions. Implement new software technology and coordinate simultaneous implementation tasks across teams. Oversee the maintenance of existing software. Qualifications THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Minimum Required Experiences 8+ years (Technical lead, performance Engineering expert for COE) Desired Experiences Bachelor degree or equivalent Working in Agile Safe environment Experience with JIRA and Confluence Experience working with Gatling Ability to setup Pipelines in Jenkins Scripting/ automation experience in Python Skills Work closely with the architects, developers, SRE and business solutions team to develop and drive shift left performance test strategy and plans. Crate a strategy and drive implementation to improve quality for our customers by validating Performance, Stability, Scalability, and Reliability to our Fannie Mae applications. Provide Best Practices and performance technical trainings to the team. Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the various applications Research and help build out a scalable Performance Testing environment that is logically and physically representative of production. Perform detailed analysis on any bottlenecks found during test executions. Lead deliveries via Performance labs setup in AWS Expert in building, evaluating and refactoring frameworks written primarily around JMeter and Load Runner Ability to review scripting in multiple languages and take the team in the direction to use Python Expertise in developing Robust Workload patterns using Production data. Expertise in performance Analysis and optimization of distributed multi-threaded, database driven application. Ability to analyze the performance issue starting from browser level to server level using available monitoring tools like Fiddler, Apache/tomcat logs, Splunk, AppDynamics and others. Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Established successful results working in a high demand and fast paced environment. Tools Strong experience in JMeter, LoadRunner and Performance Centre Experience in scripting using Web-HTTP/HTML, RDP, Java, Rest API, JAVA Spring boot Micro Services, and Mobile protocols Skilled in Dynatrace/ App Dynamics or Similar Skilled in JAVA Profilers /Ants profiler, SQL Profiler Monitoring Analysis and Reporting: SPLUNK/Sumo logic, AWS X-Ray Advanced SQL tuning experience using SQL profilers concepts, understanding of DMV queries Additional Information Job REF ID: REF10921N In response to COVID-19, Fannie Mae has adapted our workplace and hiring processes to better safeguard our employees, candidates, and new hires.
