Graduate Program ManagerThe George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Graduate Program Manager. The Graduate Program Manager is responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of graduate programs including: student services, event planning, program logistics, and being a liaison with the faculty. Washington, D.C. is ranked the 30th most racially and ethnically diverse city nationally amongst cities with a population of at least 300,000 people according to the U.S. News & World Report 2018 Diversity Ranking.Responsibilities:The Graduate Program Manager has responsibilities in the following areas:Student Liaison and AdvisingField questions from new and current graduate students regarding scheduling, registration, program requirements, graduation, and policy compliance;Manage student listservs and Salesforce campaigns;Communicate general announcements on behalf of the graduate program and other constituents;Organize and run meetings to solicit student feedback and share program updates and announcements; andMonitor progression of and provide advising to pathway students into degree program (e.g., INTO Mason, Bachelor's/Accelerated Master's, graduate certificates). Serve as staff advisor to student groups and organizations.Program OperationsSupport efforts to gather student feedback;Develop and support student engagement programs (e.g., ambassador program, peer mentorship program);In conjunction with the Assistant Director, responsible for developing and enhancing processes to enable the program to operate in a more successful manner; andAssist other graduate programs Assistant Directors and Program Managers as needed.Event Planning and Recruitment SupportManage event planning for program events (e.g., Program Immersion, graduation dinner, Speaker Series, Industry Summit);Ensure all events are properly planned, scheduled, and communicated; andSupport graduate enrollment by participating in recruitment and admissions events (e.g., information sessions, open houses, university-wide and regional fairs, admitted student reception).Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities;Ability to interact well and relate well to people including having a strong customer service orientation;Ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders;Ability to create new initiatives to improve program operations and student experience; andStrong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;Familiarity with a university environment including an understanding of the organizational and governance structure of major colleges and universities;Expertise and experience working with graduate-level students and online programs;Demonstrated working knowledge of program administration and experience in a graduate program setting;Familiarity with a university environment including an understanding of the organizational and governance structure of major colleges and universities; andDemonstrated ability to serve as part of a team and develop productive working relationships with multiple constituencies (i.e., student, faculty, staff, and alumni).
