Primary Purpose

Develops, supports, and maintains web-based clinical trials data collection applications under the supervision of senior staff or managers.

  • Designs and develops software to support web-based clinical trials applications
  • Implements and maintains Emmes' web-based applications (Advantage suite) to support project's requirements
  • Participates in functional/system requirements gathering, peer code reviews, and assists with the creation of appropriote documentation
  • Designs and develops unit test complex validation checks, rules, workflow customizations, and reports
  • Integrates data from third party data providers like labs, EHRs, devices, and external applications
  • Relesases software to different environments, debugs software related issues in production, and fixes defects
  • Participates in regular project and department meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 1+ year experience in applied web application development
  • Good object-oriented programming skills using Java/J2EE or JavaScript
  • Experience with two or more of the following skills: React, Node.js, AWS Amplify, AppSync, GraphQL, DBMS concepts
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Strong problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Satisfactory background check required
