Overview: The Field Operations Manager (FOM) provides leadership and direction to the Vision Technologies, LLC. AV team for technicians, foreman and field supervisors. In this role, you are responsible delivering Vision AV products and services in a professional manner to all customers from preliminary on-site prewiring to device installation, quality assurance and commissioning assistance. Success is measured by on time delivery, meeting or exceeding profit goals, maximizing utilization of resources, 100% Customer Satisfaction, and creating raving fans for Vision. Direct reports include the technicians, foreman and field supervisors, team members who are critical resources in successful completion of major contracts. This role requires maintaining and managing the fleet of work vehicles in collaboration with our central services department. Safety compliance is critical to this role. This position requires an understanding of industry safety procedures and processes. This position works closely with presales, engineering, project management, MSC & Services, finance, contracts, and management. Requires cross-functional team building skills for maximum success, internally and externally with clients, partners, contractors, and suppliers. Responsibilities: Provide supervision, coaching, direction, support and mentoring to the team of:TechniciansForemanField SupervisorsResponsibility for profitable execution of all projects.Responsible for on time delivery of all projects.Capacity and resource planning for all AV Install Operations & associated subcontractors if required.Conduct regular internal project reviews to track delivery execution.Coordinate and communicate with fleet management to maintain uptimeAdhere, train, and manage safety across the entire department based on company policy and requirements.Identify operational efficiencies to increase proficiency in delivery and reduce cost.Provide management reporting on projects to identify progress and risks.Conduct project reviews with key customers on major programs.Support & facilitate OTR process for all team membersConduct CFR's with team members on regular recurring basis.Align AV operational activities with Vision Strategic PlanPromote Vision Values and Culture to all team membersCreate and promote development plans and career paths for all team members.Other duties as assigned.Specific RequirementsDevelop, implement, and manage best practices to deliver predictable outcomes for field operations including: project review, prewiring, device installation, quality assurance on installation and commissioning assistance.Collaborate and contribute as part of a cross functional team to create ownership and commitment from all team members to deliver on time and within budget. Measure success and implement a process improvement plan to increase performance over time. This includes, but is not limited to, the following objectives for project delivery and performance, individually and as a team:Financial - Execute within or under PnL budget for expenses (materials, subcontractors, freight, travel, rentals, etc.). Target cost reduction opportunities. Performance goal is to exceed GM budget by 25%.Labor - Execute within PnL budget for hours and cost, including subcontractors. Optimize execution to complete project under budget.Schedule - Deliver system on or before client due date without compromising financials, quality, scope, or labor budget. Meeting all expectations and delivering system when expected is the critical first step to retaining a customer for life and repeat business in the future.Quality - Customer satisfaction is paramount and begins with successful implementation including incremental QA testing throughout the build and installation process. RMA's, reprogramming, rework, and punch list items are indicative of quality issues in workmanship and quality assurance process. QA Process and checklist tracks performance for accountability in project workmanship.Customer Acceptance - At the completion of every project demonstrate all systems are functional as defined in the SOW. Secure client sign-off for project completion to document the project is "Done".Customer Satisfaction - Is measured by repeat business, additional orders, client referrals, and raving reviews for team performance. 100% Customer satisfaction is the corporate standard for delivery.Process improvement - working with Vision management and the AV business unit manager to improve the processes and efficiencies within the business unit in order to achieve better customer satisfaction and increased profitability.Review performance of projects with team members for scope, schedule, quality, and budget. Provide coaching and leadership to insure everyone maximizes their potential by exceeding project expectationsIdentify and minimizes exposure and risk on projects. Qualifications: 5+ years AV Field Operations management experienceOSHA 30 preferredMinimum of 3 years of successful delivery management for large scale AV contracts ranging from $2M to $5M on a single contract.5+ Years' experience managing delivery teams and technical resources.Strong background in the integration of audiovisual, video conferencing and closely related technologies (digital signage, paging, sound masking)AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, and CTS-I certifications are a plusHighly organized, and effective with personal time managementExcellent communication skills. Ability to communicate in a direct, concise manner in both verbal and written interactions.Above average proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Project and ExcelSelf-starter, self-sufficient, self-motivated, and proactive with the ability to maximize contributions daily with minimal supervisionAbove average cross functional team leadership skillsAbility to influence others to take ownership and action.Customer service/focusDesire for continuous improvement at a personal level.
