Overview: The Manager/Director of Enterprise Risk Management reports to the CFO and will initially have two direct reports, the Manager of Internal Audit and an IT Compliance Analyst. This Manager/Director position will enhance CORT's risk management, insurance, and information data security infrastructure by establishing and monitoring key risk measures across the business. Responsible for identifying and developing strategies and procedures to manage risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity of CORT. This is a senior management position that interacts directly with business operations, the C-Suite and IT to support risk management in the areas of physical security, operational safety, information security, data privacy, compliance, and insurance coverage. Responsibilities: Facilitate an annual risk assessment process, including survey design and execution and analysis of results to facilitate risk identification and prioritization.Oversee development of reporting to effectively manage and communicate areas of risk.Perform risk related gap assessments and develop recommendations to ensure the best business decisions. Work with Insurance and Risk Brokers to ensure that CORT properly places insurance coverages and manages claims. Maintain a sustainable program to protect and preserve company assets balanced with cost of coverage.Manage relationships with third party service providers including brokers, insurers, loss control consultants and third-party claims administrators.Lead discussion and evaluation of risks related to security, information security and data privacy, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and contractual requirements.Coordinate with Finance, Merchandising, Real Estate, IT and HR to review and revise contract insurance and indemnification language to reduce exposure and facilitate risk transfer where possible.Responsible for business continuity planning.Manage Internal Audit with responsibility for testing and maintaining the effectiveness of financial internal controls as well as documentation and maintenance of the controls.Work with Operations Management on safety and security programs to enhance employee safety and support "best demonstrated practices." Qualifications: Knowledge of risk frameworks, compliance standards, privacy laws and financial regulations (eg Sarbanes Oxley, SOC1 , SOC 2/3, COSO, NIST,ISO, COBIT, GDPR and other privacy laws, TCPA, OFAC, etc.)Exceptional ability in analyzing risk and designing efficient control practices to minimize riskAn exceptional communicator who can synthesize complex information into actionable adviceStrong analytical skills, including ability to quickly analyze data to generate key insights10 years overall experience in Risk, Audit, Legal or Compliance Management - Data Privacy compliance experience is a plusMaster's Degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or Product Management is desired.Certifications are a plus Additional Information: We recognize that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
