Responsibilities: Peraton is looking for a Cyber Operations Manager to become part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Peraton's DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. Those supporting Peraton's DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. The Cyber Operations Manager role will be located in Rosslyn, VA. Occasional travel to Beltsville, MD is required. Position Description: Manages teams providing technical support and system administration services to CTS ensuring the availability and functionality of Directorates' cybersecurity capabilities. Leads technical analysis teams responsible for identifying vulnerabilities and configuration issues.Ensures continued operations and availability of CTS cybersecurity systems by providing IT support, administration, and maintenance.Supports CTS' capability to identify analyze and mitigate threats to Department's information technology (IT) systems and/or networks.Provides full lifecycle system support for the insider threat auditing of the Department's networks and provide cyber investigative and analytic support to DS law enforcement, and counterintelligence investigations, and workplace conduct violations.Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) supporting conception, design, procurement, and implementation of new information technology (IT) solutions for the CTS Directorate.Support Governance, Assessments and Authorizations, IT Asset Management, as well as Change and Configuration Management.Designs and implements the Department's worldwide Cyber Security Awareness program.Conducts market research on emerging threats, mitigation strategies, and relevant cybersecurity technologies.Brief Govt leadership and provide courses of action for significant network and system changes, improving monitoring capabilities, operational outages and computer security.Provide computer security analysis expertise in response to threats.Direct network changes to instantly mitigate attacks causing network degradation. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications - To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, or other related technical discipline required.Active Top Secret security clearance is required.PMP certification required.Twelve (12) years of experience in network technology, management or operation with increasing responsibilities.Five (5) years experience in managing 24x7x365 security monitoring operations.Experience in cyber intelligence, computer security, and technical analysis with increasing responsibilities.Experience in network security with a focus on cyber threat analysis and advanced network security analysis.Demonstrated technical task management and supervisory experience.Desired Qualifications - CISSP and/or a CISM certification(s).
