This engineer's role will include leading projects and also supporting projects. This engineer will work on current programs, and also leading and/or assist proposal, design, and R&D efforts on new programs.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and support the company's efforts in the design and development of Electro-Optical systems. This position will assist technical and program managers in formulating technical and business plans. This position will provide technical expertise within the engineering team, and also interact with customers as a technical point of contact.Responsible for leading and assisting projects in the development of technology and products, including the following functions: proposal development, technology design and development, prototype design and development, process development, product development, technical project management.Work on projects from the technology development stage through the production stage.Work with management developing new technology, process, and business ideas.Assist the engineering team on technical issues.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:BS/MS/PhD in Engineering or Physics.Must have very strong experience designing and developing commercial and military electro-optic systems. This includes expertise developing products that could include: electro-optical sensor systems, electro-optical imaging systems, laser systems, lidar systems, infrared and thermal imaging systems, optical systems, opto-mechanical subsystems, image processing designs, etc..Must have technical expertise to lead engineering design teams.Must have experience designing systems for manufacturing.
