The position: AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Developer, DevOps Project Lead to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. A typical day as a Software Developer, DevOps Project Lead may include: Leading the software development, software integration, customer training and demonstrations for the DevOps team Supervising and directing team personnel for day-to-day tasking Coordinating with customers and managing expectations for team deliverables Ensuring customer/stakeholder satisfaction Managing leadership expectations and reporting potential risks Communicating project status and team needs to leadership Ensuring schedules and requirements are met Working with partner projects to communicate deliveries and schedules Managing documentation, briefs, reports, and answering data calls Supporting a team developing software for an advanced synthetic training environment Working with a software that is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats Implementing new and/or upgrading existing automated build services that support our development process on both Windows and Linux systems Scaling up our capacity for and utilizing automated building and testing Facilitating and growing the amount of automated testing used by our team Monitoring, maintaining and reporting on the status of automated build and test services Developing and integrating tools as needed to improve developer efficiency Promoting best practices and technologies to the team and to team leadership Collaborating with our IT teams and maintaining a strong security posture on our systems Must-haves: BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 3 years of software build and scripting experience Project Management experience Presentation/briefing experience Strong written and verbal communication skills 3+ years of professional experience as a Software, IT, or Systems Engineer with demonstrated experience building and maintaining automated software development environments Proficient with configuration management systems, specifically Git Proficient with integration tools such as: GitLab CI or Jenkins Proficient in scripting languages such as: Bash, Batch and/or Python The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement AMEWAS, Inc. requires employees to provide proof of being fully vaccinated from COVID-19 or submission and approval of a request for accommodation prior to first day.
