A$ A' "A' ?Position SummaryBranch Builds is searching for a driven, detailed-oriented Estimator to join our well established, growing company.A' Estimators are responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win the project.A' Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received.A' Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.Duties/ResponsibilitiesBid Administrationo Prepares and maintains status of plan reproductiono Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendorso Prepares subcontractor bid packageso Transmits addenda and other bid information to subcontractorsA' o Ensures that we have the proper coverage from subcontractors on bid dayo Contacts supply houses to obtain additional subcontractor bidso Shows creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractorso Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline - no exceptionso Enters all relevant information into estimating softwareA' A' Project Knowledgeo Review bid requirements thoroughly and asks follow-up question on every bidA' o Has a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assignedA' Follow up & closingA' o Consistently follows up on submitted bids and budgets with Architect and/orConstruction Manager to close business.o Knows architects, construction managers, property managers, brokers and can close businessA' Project turnoverA' o Properly turns over bid documents and sub buyout information to Project Management ina timely manner.A' Goal is 100% of awarded projects turned over within 90 days of notification.o Review drawings with Project Management team and highlight areas of concerno Review job cost with Project Management team and highlight any subs/material vendors that still need to be awardedo Complete project kick-off form to ensure complianceQualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.A' A cents € cents Must know Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and preferably Project.A cents € cents Must be self-motivated & punctual.A' A cents € cents Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.A' A cents € cents Must be professional and polished in appearance and speech.A cents € cents Understand and embrace Branch's core purpose and valuesA cents € cents Believe passionately in the strength of highly effective teams.CompetenciesBudgets/Cost ControlActing DecisivelyTechnical SkillsManaging ResourcesSolving Complex ProblemsTravelTravel is estimated at approximately 20%.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
