The successful candidate will be a part of KDA's Leadership team in MD and DC Office helping to win, design and lead teams of architects on projects across a diverse set of market sectors including Education, Science & Technology, Corporate, Healthcare, Civic/Cultural, State and Federal Projects.A' Collaborate on multiple innovative projects focused on all aspects of design from Programming to CD and CA.A' Seeking highly motivated, hardworking, detail oriented and well-rounded architect(s) to work on all phases of design with projects ranging from education (K-12 and High Education), science and technology, healthcare, commercial , mixed-use and Government projects.A' We offer a dynamic team atmosphere and flexible office locations in MD and DC.A' Working with us, you will: A cents € cents Lead day-to-day operation for studio design staff and project managers.A cents € cents Meet with owners and user groups to determine program and planning requirements. A cents € cents Lead A/E team to prepare, coordinate, and complete construction documents packages. A cents € cents Lead day-to-day construction administration activities including coordination with the contractor, owner, and consultants to maintain project progress. A cents € cents Mentor, provide oversight, and monitor the work performed by junior staff. A cents € cents Establish and execute project work plan and staffing requirements. A cents € cents Communicate with all project participants, internal staff, consultants, clients, owners, contractors and jurisdictions in an effective and collaborative manner. A cents € cents Develop trusted relationships with clients. A cents € cents Participate in recruiting and performance management of staff. A cents € cents Participate in business development efforts through learning/understanding the local client market, participating in professional organizations and supporting proposal development and interviews. An ideal candidate has: A cents € cents A master's degree in architecture or Interior or professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design. A cents € cents Minimum 10+ years of progressive professional experience leading medium to large-scale projects of varying types and complexity. A cents € cents Architectural Registration with NCARB Certification is must andA' LEED AP and preferred. A cents € cents Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a multi-disciplinary team setting, collaborating, mentoring and client satisfaction. A cents € cents Thorough knowledge of the entire project delivery process and ability to lead design efforts through all project stages, including leadership with the client, contractors, and internal team.
