We currently own or manage over 70,000 units in North America and continue to grow.Bell Partners, a national leader in multi-family housing, our mission is to be the apartment company of choice by creating value and honoring commitments to our residents, partners, and associates.Purpose of the JobThe purpose of the Research Manager position is to support the SVP - Research & Data Analytics in all research-related activities and functions, specifically as it relates to the assessment of the external environment driving apartment operating and investment fundamentals, contribution of insights that will drive outperformance of the operations and investment functions, contribution of key assumptions towards business planning, benchmarking and capital-raising.The purpose of the Research Manager position is to support the SVP - Research & Data Analytics in all research-related activities and functions, specifically as it relates to the assessment of the external environment driving apartment operating and investment fundamentals, contribution of insights that will drive outperformance of the operations and investment functions, contribution of key assumptions towards business planning, benchmarking and capital-raising.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesAnalyze economic and real estate market data from a broad array of resources in relation to both specific investments as well as in support of strategic themes.Collaborate with the BI team to enhance dashboards and ensure data integrity of 3rd party research data presented.Work closely with SVP - Research & Data Analytics to create and update presentation materials that communicate the Bell House View to external clients as well as for quarterly and annual reporting purposes.Contribute to internal and external research publications, client meetings and respond to ad-hoc client requests.Participate in the semi-annual track record and annual budgeting process.Maintain an online/intranet research library to support ongoing needs of various internal constituents.Maintain relationships with appropriate third-party market research firms, evaluate data quality and recommend changes where appropriate. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:A well-developed understanding of real estate market and micro-market analysis, debt and equity capital market trends, and the impact of demographics, technology, and economics on real estate fundamentalsFamiliarity with economic and real estate market data resourcesStrong written and oral communication and presentation skills is a mustMust be client-centric, organized, quantitative, and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to embrace and foster the company culture of hard work, accountability and positive financial resultsEducation and BackgroundBachelor's degree in Economics, Real Estate, Finance required. Desire to pursue the CFA and/or CAIA designations.4-5 years of institutional real estate investment research desiredAdvanced knowledge of R and Python programming languages strongly preferredFamiliarity with site selection and/or micro-market analysis desiredBell Partners, Inc.
