Duties

  • You will conduct planning and analysis of business improvements.
  • You will develop Lean Initiative metrics.
  • You will act as consultant/facilitator, technical expert, and as project manager on various initiatives.
  • You will maintain data regarding recommendations for improvements and monitors status.
  • You will plan, conduct, review, process, and support strategic plans, business plans, financial analysis, and performance measurement development across MCINCR-MCBQ.
  • You will check for duplication, layering, excessive administrative and support ratio to action officers.

  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • This position requires a certification as Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.
  • Must file form OFE 450.


Qualifications

GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducts and performs business analysis improvement activities which include managing and developing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiative, planning and facilitation of Lean events, training and mentoring LSS green belt/black belt candidates

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector plans, organizes, conducts and/or manages Lean Six Sigma programs under the umbrella of process improvement activities, including, but not limited, to management analysis, organization structure analysis, business process reengineering, and Lean Six Sigma.

NOTE: Must be able to obtain a Green Belt or Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma.

Education

GS-11: Applicants may substitute specialized experience with meeting one or more of the education requirements below:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
OR
combination of experience and education that equates to one year of experience.
