Responsibilities: A large federal civilian agency is establishing an enterprise-wide cloud services program office to better serve and provide more cost-effective cloud services and solutions to its clients. The Noblis team will be required to provide strategy, analysis, and acquisition solutions to obtain the best solutions from commercial providers. Noblis is seeking an experienced Cloud Solution Architect to lead the planning, operational design, and requirements for a complex source selection project that spans multiple organizations with large data, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS enterprise services. Candidate must work collaboratively and be skilled in managing stakeholders to desired outcomes. Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise in the development of enterprise cloud strategy, standards, best practices, and governance frameworkLead implementation of enterprise cloud service brokerage and monitor new industry solutions, offerings, and trendsProvide technical guidance for large scale cloud adoption, acquisition and migration effortsDevelop and maintain custom pricing models - including day to day monitoring and tracking of revenue for all servicesCreate Cloud cost optimization framework and Governance mechanism using native and 3rd party toolsWork closely with other cross-functional teams (eg, Contracting, Order Management, Billing, Finance) to solve agreement pricing issues and deliver seamless experience.Guide decisions through rigorous data analysis and forecasting.Research and understand competitive offering pricing and discount structuresCreate and refine pricing modelsDevelop business cases that align models with customer valueReview cloud provider proposals and provide substantive quantitative and qualitative written feedback about the offerings Qualifications: Required knowledge/experienceBachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or Computer EngineeringTen years of Information Technology (IT) experience in a private or public cloud environmentExcellent financial analytic skillsExpertise with cloud provider solutions such as AWS, Azure, GCP or IBM with deep knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cost structuresFamiliarity with cloud brokerage conceptsExperience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings, common pricing models, and associated cost driversExperience with AWS cost explorer, Azure Cost Management, billing analysis and various cost optimization techniquesWorking knowledge on cloud chargeback reporting, show back, reserved instances, spend control, etc.Ability to translate quantitative analysis into a business recommendationExcellent written and verbal communicationPreferred knowledge/experienceAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification or equivalent knowledgeAWS Business Professional certification or equivalent knowledgeAzure certificationsFamiliarity with Google and IBM cloud environments Client Engagement: As the Cloud Solutions Architect for a strategic cloud procurement by a federal agency, you and a team of acquisition leaders will guide technical and pricing acquisition models with your expert knowledge of infrastructure, platform, and software as a service offerings and pricing across multiple providers. This partially or fully remote role (depending on your preference) will result in an agency-wide cloud brokerage for all of the organization's cloud work. It will be fast-paced and meaningful for the continued success of the customer agency, setting the stage for the coming five to ten years of cloud operations.
