We are proud to set the standard for reliability, efficiency and performance.Summary: The Quality Systems Engineer works with QS Director and team to develop a robust and scalable global QMS strategy that supports solutions and customer loyalty with a high degree of flexibility and efficiency. This position is responsible for the design and cost effective deployment of global strategies of Quality System Management policies, procedures and best practices within their regional area. Essential Functions: Align regional quality system with global standards and assure compliance to relevant ISO 9001/ IATF 16949/ AS9100 requirements and other relevant certifications within regional area. Plan, schedule, execute and report on internal audits and training for the global quality system to ensure effective change control management in regional area. Implements standard quality assurance policies and systems to ensure continuous improvement of design, production, and administrative practices. Review quality systems processes with team and formulate new or revised processes/procedures to promote customer satisfaction, reduce cost and/or enhance efficiency/effectiveness by global standardization where possible. Collect, interpret and report on global quality related key performance data on a monthly and quarterly basis for regional area. Works closely with all functions or process leaders in regional area to resolve QMS situations, balance priorities, manage quality resources and maintain consistency with global standards. Represent Rogers as the Quality Systems Management Representative in external audits and management reviews. Manage resolution of non-conformities to QS audits and report to regional management on the effectiveness of the quality system In conjunction with Procurement and Supplier Quality Engineering, develop a list of suppliers (based on risk assessment) to be audited to the ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 QMS standards. Additionally, assist with audits of key and/or high risk suppliers on an as need basis. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering. Minimum of 2 years' experience in quality management systems and continuous improvement or related field. Quality Assurance and/or Quality Systems experience (preferably automotive or aerospace manufacturing) ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or AS9100 auditing experience REQUIRED. Excellent leadership and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate others, work as a team and take ownership for continuous improvement and uncompromised quality. Strong, professional communication skills, able to approach senior managers using appropriate level of quality detail, terminology, and style. Proactive with can-do-attitude. Fast learner with ability to adapt to change quickly. Moderate travel is required. Software, MS Project and SharePoint is an advantage. Strong knowledge of ISO 9000 and IATF16949 or AS9100.
