As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One. You are the Team Lead & Manager of 1-2 teams of software engineers working on a modern microservices based application that has been recently built to serve as the Case Management platform for all of Capital One. What You'll Do: This platform has been built from the ground up (recently) using Spring Boot microservices and various open source software to meet the business needs of various groups across Capital One You will be expected to guide your teams follow engineering best practices, evaluating code contributions and designs, as well as driving us to continuously improve our world class platform and the development practices we use to maintain and enhance it. This role is a combination of people leadership, as well as expertise and guidance across the teams that run and enhance the platform, as well as a subject matter expert in the details of how the system works to consult with Product Partners and other tech departments at Capital One. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality software development and self motivated to enable Engineers to focus on building a high quality beacon of software excellence. Our systems are primarily built as Spring Boot microservices, and the candidate ideally has a rich history of Java and Spring development. Various UI-related components in our system are built on Vue, Node, and similar JavaScript related technologies. We host everything on AWS.
