As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. Please apply via LinkedIn at: jorge-ventura-cpa-90385945/Responsibilities- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly- Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible- Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time- Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management- Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports- Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies Requirements - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Knowledge of Sage Intacct- Month end closings experience- Deep understanding of Retail Wholesale- Foundational knowledge in Process Improvement- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges- Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued- Strong attention to detail- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines- Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations- Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environmentRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
