Description Our client is a growing specialty aviation firm that is growing and adding to their accounting team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will assist with all areas of accounting, including preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. Employees receive solid compensation and benefits. You will also have the chance for growth.Key responsibilities- Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required- Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process- Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting- Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations- Partake in various department-wide initiatives- Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP- Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessaryFor immediate consideration, please contact Aaron Brennan on LinkedIn Requirements - Prior public accounting experience highly preferred - Solid understanding of general ledger- Practical knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries- Experience with month end closings- General familiarity with Annual External Audit- Adeptness in Consolidated Financial Statements- Costpoint experience desired- DCAA experience- Demonstrated knowledge of financial statement preparation- Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus- Proficient in ERP systems- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision- Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills- 2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferredFor immediate consideration, please contact Aaron Brennan on LinkedIn Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
