About the OpportunityByte Back is looking for a highly motivated self-directed and organized superstar to join our growing Program's team. The Grant Compliance Coordinator will be involved with all aspects of the grant programs for Byte Back. You will prepare written and oral reports and proposals with the opportunity to present recommendations to diverse audiences. In addition, this opportunity gives you the chance to perform a broad spectrum of technical and administrative duties in support of Programs. Lastly, you will evaluate grant-related policies and program designs, implementations, and fiscal impacts relating to project areas and provide recommendations to the Head of Programs and senior leadership team.The Grant Compliance Coordinator must have strong writing, analytical and personal skills. In addition, this individual should have strong organizational skills, be proactive, detailed-oriented, able to work independently and collaborate with others. An exciting part of this opportunity is that you will be expected to represent Byte Back and interface with all levels of staff, faculty, volunteers, donors, board members, and program participants while maintaining tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.This opportunity reports directly to the Head of Development, Advancement, & Corporate Relations and offers the opportunity to be primarily home-based with the ability to travel to our DC office with a hybrid work schedule.About Your ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:Strategic Leadership and Thought PartnershipPrepares a wide variety of correspondence, documents, and reports, to include policy and program development to support strategic planning goals. Makes effective use of presentation and spreadsheet software to prepare material for senior leadership, key stakeholdersReviews and evaluates grant funding opportunities that have the potential to further organizational goals and objectivesEnsures compliance with all requirements of grant programsConducts appropriate research, prepares, and submits grant applications and timely reportsMaintains an updated listing of grant opportunities and disseminates to Head of Development and Head of ProgramsCoordinates all fiscal and administrative functions associated with the acceptance, maintenance, auditing and reporting of grant activities, both internally and externallyAttends meetings with funders, and key personnel, including federal, state and/or local leaders as required in support of furtherance of grant applications and assigned projectsCoordinates related Memorandum of Understanding (MOU's) and/or Memorandum of Agreement (MOA's) to ensure necessary procedures, goals, and objectives are addressed appropriately and facilitates legal reviewProvides staff assistance to the senior leadership by constructing sensitive documents and correspondence, producing special comprehensive and detailed research reports, and serving as a liaison on internal and external issues and coordinating projects which may cross departmental linesReviews and works with the Director of Finance to approve grant funded expenditures for complianceMonitors time and effort documentation for all grants and may supervise assigned support staff personnelAssists in identifying and developing grant management best practices and creating documentation and training materials to standardize those practices through training and continuous advice and supportDocuments instances of compliant and non-compliant grant program manager activities pursuant to the grant accountability systemPrepares documentation for the Director of Finance and Head of Programs for recognition of excellence and, alternatively, the need for corrective actionRuns reports as requested from the data collectedMaintains an organized audit-ready filing system and supports the compliance team with other special projectsManage the correspondence and maintain the files for individual donors, foundations, corporate partners, and other donorsManage the donor database.
