Senior Systems Engineer--(Remote/In-Person)
VES seeks a Sr. System Engineer to support our team. The candidate will employ system engineering practices and processes across the VES Portfolio of projects. In this role the candidate will conduct all phases of System Engineering from Concept through Verification & Validation. The primary focus is on requirements analysis and traceability, functional analysis, systems analysis, safety analysis, technical performance monitoring, developing strategies and approaches for specialty engineering (safety, operability, reliability, maintainability, supportability) and system product life cycle processes. This role can be performed 100% remotely. Qualifications:Experience with Risk Management processesSystem development/integration experienceDevelop operational concepts, requirements, and architectural designs; Evolve system architectures, conduct and analyze requirements flow down, propose verification methodologies mitigation approaches.Conduct mission analysis to define technical requirements and interfaces, provide analysis of alternatives, guide development, evaluate expected performance against requirements and mission needs, and support calibration activitiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders including US Government officials, Military Officers, Other Contractors, and end usersConduct risk management processes and methods for identifying and adjudicating program risk; Conduct analysis to identify program risk areas and recommend/implementDevelop briefings and assessments to a variety of audiences, and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner to Government leadershipPossess excellent written and oral communication skills, proactive in moving program forward through team collaborations to achieve timely decisions, ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive culture.Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologiesDesired Skills:Experience with systems engineering and modeling tools (eg Enterprise Architect)Experience in reliability, maintainability and operability analysis and executionExperience with system safety certification processes. Preferably one or more of these standards ISO 26262, DO-178, FACE, MIL-STD-882 Rev.
