Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate opening for a Research Analyst to support projects in epidemiological, clinical, and genomics research. The successful candidate will have a strong scientific background and quickly pick up operational protocols and procedures and data collection and data management tasks and support multi-disciplinary teams and external investigators.
This position is remote eligible (limited to Eastern, Central and Mountain Time zones).
Job Responsibilities:
• Draft and maintain work instructions, study procedures, and other study materials.
• Monitor and track data collection across study sites, review data, and prepare data quality reports.
• Prepare documents and power points to comply with accessibility standards and draft project reports.
• Manage IRB submissions for multiple sites.
• Coordinate schedules and arrange meetings, draft agendas and meeting minutes, and provide other relevant meeting support for internal and external meetings.
• Maintain study website and update content as needed.
• Manage study help desk and respond to queries from external investigators.
• Coordinate administrative and scientific reviews of proposals and publications.
Basic Qualifications:
• A Master's degree in life sciences or public health.
• 1-2 years of work experience in clinical/epidemiological research.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with genomics concepts
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong oral and written communication skills, administrative abilities and the capability to handle multiple tasks while working in a team setting are essential.
