Responsibilities: REI is seeking a Junior to Mid level Business Development Manager to support efforts across business units. This role will be responsible to lead business development activities and supporting winning proposals. The Business Development Manager will create Business Development plans, interact with potential customer(s) and industry partners, qualify opportunities, and support proposal activities. The candidate will generally support business development for opportunities greater than $5M - $15M and associated with one or many of the following functional areas: application modernization, software development, cloud enablement, advisory services, and data analytics. Specific Responsibilities Include:Works with Business Development Director and Business Units to identify and qualify opportunities and grow the pipelineLeads development and implementation of the development plan encompassing all elements leading to a winForms and leads the cross-functional Opportunity business development Team that includes business developers, solution architects, analysts, business unit representatives, and proposal managersEngages support from corporate resources to support Opportunity development including Graphics, Marketing, Contracts, Recruiting, and Pricing.Identifies requirements for capture team members & sets their objectives, grooming the backlog of tasks to ensure timely completionLeads customer requirement influencing strategy, requirement interpretation and solution generationLeads partnering / teaming strategy and engagement with the team throughout the business development, capture and proposal lifecyclesManages the Opportunity business development budgetWork with the stakeholder management and keeps the Leadership Team informed and engaged, including timely escalation of issues needing resolutionSupports the customer relationship management strategy and engages senior executives in contact activityLeads Black Hat reviews Qualifications: Required Skills:Minimum of 2 to 5 years experience directly related to Federal government IT Business DevelopmentSuccessful experience leading business development teams in pursuit of proposal efforts greater than $10MSuccessful past performance developing customer relationships, developing a qualified pipeline, building industry relationships, and leading busines development effortsExperience working with technical teams to develop and evolve win strategies, key offer elements, competitive discriminators and resulting win themesStrong briefing and writing skillsMust have in-depth knowledge of the Federal government acquisition and budgeting processes as well as the FAR and its supplementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in business management or related Location/Remote:Hybrid model. The candidate will split their time working remotely and in an REI Sterling and Chantilly VA office location. The amount of days split between the 2 locations will be determined on current & upcoming projects.
