For more information, please visit: Responsibilities: Our finance management consultants help federal clients optimize the operations of their finance organization, including budget execution, accounting reconciliations (eg, Fund Balance with Treasury), intra-governmental payments and collections, government-wide treasury account symbol reporting, annual financial reporting and helping to meet the ever-changing requirements of federal financial reporting. This senior analyst, client-facing role will be joining a Guidehouse Team helping a federal CFO organization with financial operations support, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting, external reporting required by the Dept. of Treasury and Office of Management & Budget (OMB), financial statement preparation, reconciling USSGL, GTAS, and tie point accounts according to requirements in the Treasury Financial Manual (TFM), and coordinating financial activities across the Department's many Agencies and Components.The ideal candidate will have experience in federal financial accounting and knowledge of how to organize, review, and reconcile large amounts of accounting data, as this role will be primarily focused on building financial reports, reconciling data across multiple sources, and reviewing data sets to identify efficiencies and/or areas for improvement. Qualifications: The following skills/experience/knowledge are REQUIRED to be considered for this role:* US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is contractually required* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline* A minimum of 5 years of accounting-related work experience in federal financial management, auditing, or accounting* Demonstrated knowledge of the full lifecycle of federal budget execution, accounting, and financial procedures from the establishment of authority to financial reporting and internal controls* Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Accounting, Intra-Governmental activity, Federal USSGL, Budget Execution (Reimbursable Funding), and an understanding of GTAS, IPAC and CARS* Demonstrated ability to organize, clean, and make use of large volumes of accounting data from various systems The following skills/experience/knowledge are PREFERRED to be considered for this role:* CPA, CGFM, PMP or related credential* Capabilities to support and manage teams to provide analytics, automation, and business intelligence services (ie, SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps - including DAX)* Experience with Federal Financial Management systems, specifically, CGI Momentum and business intelligence software (ie, PowerBI, SQL)* Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards* Active Public Trust - Moderate Background Investigation (MBI) Additional Requirements: The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.
