Basic computer skills preferred.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes actual costs versus standard costs, prepares variance reports, and interprets cost variances.Analyzes cost records to ascertain distribution of costs.Analyzes operation of system; prepares recommendations and documentation to create and update fiscal services and other related policies and procedures.Assumes responsibility for cost data preparation, analysis, systems analysis, and other fiscally related duties.Computes and records interest charges, refunds, and similar items.Computes cost estimates for subcontracted work.Computes percentage profits and adds to cost estimates to obtain prices.Conducts and assists in the presentation of fiscal educational sessions as assigned.Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.Participates in meetings and on committees and represents the department and hospital in community outreach efforts as required.Performs other duties as assigned.Prepares financial feasibility studies and operational systems; reviews and evaluates administrative and planning studies as assigned.Prepares, analyzes, and maintains cost data as required for regulatory reporting and new program submissions.Reviews actual performance against budgeted performance and prepares reports explaining budget deviations.
